Kahraba scores, assists in 3-2 friendly loss to Egyptian side Ismaily
Egypt international Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim ‘Kahraba’ scored and assisted in Ittihad Jeddah’s 3-2 friendly loss against Egyptian side Ismaily.
Kahraba, who returned to the Saudi side for a second successive season on loan from Zamalek, started the game at the right wing and opened the scoring in the fifth minute after capitalising on a defensive error.
Ismaily equalised just three minutes later with a goal from new signing Moussa Camara. The Egyptian team scored again in the 37th minute through Mohamed Fathi to take a 2-1 lead.
Kahraba, 23, then got an assist in the 41st minute, sending in a cross to Saudi teammate Rabea Al-Sofiani and allowing him to level the score at 2-2 just before halftime.
Ismaily took the lead four minutes after the break thanks to a goal by Ibrahim Hassan to eventually claim a 3-2 victory in the first round of the Tabuk International Football Tournament.
Ittihad are set to kick off their Saudi Professional League campaign on August 11 against Al-Batin.
