Momen Soliman set to replace Ehab Galal as El-Maqassa coach
Former Smouha manager Momen Soliman has agreed terms with the Misr El-Maqassa after team coach Ehab Galal decided to step down.
El-Maqassa chairman Mohamed Abdelsalam turned down the idea of signing a foreign manager, with the race for El-Maqassa’s managerial position ending up between Helmy Toulan and Momen Soliman, but Soliman had the upper hand in the end.
Ehab Galal’s resignation came after his relationship with board of directors broke down because of a conflict between the two parties on some technical issues which the board did not accept.
Galal has now established himself as one of the uprising prospects in the coaching field after having a historical season with El Maqassa leading them to their first top 4 finish in their history in addition to a CAF Champions League in last season’s version of the Egyptian Premier League.
On the other hand, Momen Soliman finished the season with his former club Smouha in fifth place and was knocked out of the Confederations Cup.
