OFFICIAL: Amro Tarek completes move to Wadi Degla
Egypt international defender Amro Tarek has joined Wadi Degla on a free transfer just two weeks after signing for Smouha SC.
After terminating his contract with ENPPI, Tarek signed for Smouha, but Wadi Degla have announced on Tuesday the signing of the Egyptian defender on a three-year deal.
The 25-year-old and the Alexandrian club couldn’t reach an agreement, which made Wadi Degla snap up the defender on a free transfer, becoming the club’s ninth summer signing.
Wadi Degla have already brought in Mohamed Abdel-Monsef, Ahmed Samir, Ahmed Magdi, Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Hassan, Ouattara, Rudy Manga and Hussein Yasser Elmohamady.
Amro has previously played for Assiut Cement and ENPPI before moving to Germany, where he played for Magdeburg U19, Freiburg and Wolfsburg reserves.
He then returned back to Egypt and played for El-Gouna before moving to La Liga side Real Betis, who loaned him out to Columbus Crew. He returned back to Egypt again and signed for Ismaily but terminated his contract without playing a single game.
Amro Tarek has earned only one Egypt cap when Héctor Cúper called him up for a friendly against Togo last March.
