Carlo Ancelotti thinks Salah’s departure will affect Roma
Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti believes Mohamed Salah’s departure will have a huge impact on Roma next season.
Salah has joined Liverpool from AS Roma for a club-record €42 million and Ancelotti believes the Giallorossi could struggle next season after the Egyptian’s departure.
“Roma? I find it a bit hard to work them out. They’ve changed Coach and I’ve followed Di Francesco for some time. I thought he did very well with Sassuolo, but the loss of Salah, I believe, will be felt,” Ancelotti said.
“We’ll also see how their first season will be without a monument like Totti in the dressing room,” he added.
The 58-year-old manager also thinks Juventus are still favourites to win another Scudetto, despite AC Milan’s quality transfer activity.
Roma will kick-off their league campaign against Atalanta on Sunday, August 20 at Atleti Azzurri d’Italia, Bergamo, while Liverpool will be up against Watford on Saturday, August 12 at Vicarage Road.
