Ajayi looking forward to Smouha showdown in Egypt Cup
Al Ahly Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi spoke about his team’s upcoming match in the Egypt Cup semi-final against Smouha and insisted it won’t be an easy match.
The Red Devils are looking to achieve the domestic double and add this season’s Egypt Cup to their trophy cabinet, after being crowned as the Egyptian Premier League champions in June without conceding a single defeat.
Ajayi was included in Hossam El-Badry’s 23-man squad for the upcoming clash. The 21-year-old player, who joined the Red Castle from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien in 2016, is positive that his team can deal with the Alexandria-based side and qualify for the final match.
“We all enjoyed the win against Smouha but we won’t get carried away,” Ajayi told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We’ll keep our feet on the ground and look forward to this game. We want to do well in all competitions and Smouha at home will be tough.”
