Al Ahly youth midfielder Ahmed Hamdy scored a goal and provided two assists as Udinese’s youth team played out a 3-3 draw with Liventina.

The 19-year-old is undergoing a trial spell at Serie A side Udinese from Monday, August 7 until Wednesday, August 16.

Hamdy has been promoted into Al Ahly’s first team squad by former manager José Peseiro and then featured only twice under Martin Jol. He has failed to make a single appearance for the Red Devils this season, despite being called-up by Egypt U-20 manager Motamed Gamal for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations last February.

If successful, Hamdy will be the second Egyptian player to join Udinese after Egypt legend Hazem Emam, who featured for the Italian side between 1996 and 2000.

Around a year ago, Al Ahly rejected an offer for Hamdy to join Portuguese side SC Braga on loan.
