OFFICIAL: Ahmed Raouf signs for Wadi Degla from Smouha
Former Egypt international forward Ahmed Raouf has joined Wadi Degla from Smouha on a three-year deal.
The 34-year-old, who has been capped 12 times by Egypt, scored nine goals last term across all competitions, leading Smouha to fifth place in the Egyptian Premier League.
He has penned a three year contract that will keep him at Wadi Degla until June 2020, becoming the club’s tenth signing of the summer.
Wadi Degla have already brought in Mohamed Abdel Monsef, Ahmed Samir, Ahmed Magdi, Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Hassan, Ouattara, Rudy Manga, Hussein Yasser Elmohamady and Amro Tarek.
The striker began his career with Qanah then ENPPI and Al Ittihad Tripoli before joining Al Ahly, who he went on to make just 21 appearances for them, helping the Reds winning the Egyptian Premier League title and the CAF Confederation Cup in 2014.
Raouf then joined Al Masry on free transfer and scored 22 goals in 69 appearances, guiding them to the CAF Confederation Cup qualification in 2016.
The former Al Ahly striker was part of the Egypt national team, who won the 2010 African Cup of Nations, but his last appearance came in January 2016 against Jordan in a friendly.
