Al Ahly announce squad for Egypt Cup final

Al Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry has announced his 23-man squad that will face Al Masry in the Egypt Cup final on Tuesday.

The Red Devils qualified for the final after trashing Smouha 4-0 in the semi-finals, while Al Masry defeated Zamalek 2-0 at Borg El-Arab.

Al Ahly will be without Saad Samir and Karim Nedved in the final after the duo were omitted from the squad due to injury.

Saad Samir’s absence will be a huge blow to Al Ahly, who are seeking to win their first Egypt Cup title in 10 years.

Meanwhile, Hossam El-Badry has decided to exclude Amr Barakat, Hussein El-Sayed and Omar Radwan for technical reasons.

Al Ahly squad:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel Abdel-Moneim, Mohamed El-Shennawy

Defenders: Mohamed Naguib, Ramy Rabia, Mohamed Hany, Bassem Ali, Ali Maaloul, Ahmed Fathi, Sabry Raheel.

Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Amr El-Sulaya, Hossam Ashour, Abdallah El-Said, Saleh Gomaa, Momen Zakaria, Walid Soliman, Mido Gaber, Akram Tawfik, Ahmed Hamoudi.

Forwards: Emad Meteb, Amr Gamal, Junior Ajayi.
