Liverpool legend had his say on the signing of Egypt international by the Reds, stating that he gives the team more options.

Salah joined Liverpool for €42 million in a deal that saw the former Roma winger become the most expensive African and Arab player in history.

Salah visited the net in his first official appearance and season opener for Liverpool in the Premier League where the Reds had to settle for an upsetting last-gasp 3-3 draw against Watford.

“I think the reason Liverpool have gone for a player like Salah in the transfer window is because he gives you another dimension as well as Sadio Mane,” Gerrard told BT Sport.

“He is a player who is capable of breaking the lines, running behind defenses using his pace and causing problems from the other side of the pitch. With both of them in the Liverpool team, they are a really big threat.”

he’s bad on defense only good for tap ins and clueless on one on one with the goalkeeper Remind me of Stirling (bench warmer)with quality hes week in his legs is because of him that we draw our first game with all the opportunities he have same with champions league he must learn fast to kill games off or he go from 10 to 0 in no time

Justin you can’t blame salah the defense was terrible anyways with or without him you would have gotten a draw or they could have won 3-2 it takes time to get comfortable in your club also it is not his problem he doesn’t have a good midfielder feeding him the ball like coutinho. You saw what happened when coutinho was assisting him.

Marwan, I think Justin is right when it comes to his finishing! Salah must finish better and take the right decision! We all saw how many times he couldn’t score from a wonderful opportunity like the ones against Madrid in the CL. We all agree that he is good, but to be a world class he must develop his finish, he just needs to train hard and practice a lot , he has to be calm when he faces the goal keepers, Salah must also try to dribble more especially when you come alone with the keepers. If he do that he will be really great, but right now he is very good! If you look at Mane, you see him dribble all the time and creates chances gets free kicks in dangerous positions, that’s a class

Of course he has to work on his finishing, but to say he’s the reason for the draw is completely absurd.
