Trezeguet’s equalizer secures draw for Kasimpasa against Besiktas


Kasimpasa  impress in their first game at home as they draw with title holders

It seemed Kasimpasa didn’t get the long half of their wishbone when the Super Lig draw put them against Besiktas in their first game at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.

Besiktas dominated the game and right from the eighth minute Ryan Babel tapped in Cenk Tosun’s cross to mark the first goal of the game.

In an surprising turn of events new signing Markus Neumayr made a wonderful curling effort from outside the box to score the equalizer for Kasimpasa. The German midfielder now holds two goals and an assist from his first two games in the competition.

Anderson Talisca forced another goal for Besiktas as his headed effort was deflected off Kasimpasa and Tunisia defender Syam Ben Youssef to make it 1-2 for the visitors.

Besiktas were the better side through the second half, casting their strength in full glory, just to find an astonishing strike by dispatched from 2o yards into the bottom left corner.

Trezeguet scored his second goal in back to back games for his new team, earning them a very important point against the most ruling powerhouse in the Turkish Super Lig.

Kasimpasa will face Akhisar Belediyespor next round, the team that finished three spots ahead of them last season.
