EFA: Cuper will stay regardless of Uganda game result
Egypt are currently leading the Group E in the 2018 World Cup qualifying group after two first victories against Congo and Ghana that were worth six points. The Pharaohs, though, were off to a poor start in AFCON 2019 with an away defeat in group opener against Tunisia.
Latif said that the 61-year-old manager believes a lot in his defensive philosophy he uses in his game and that he will not change it under any circumstances.
The EFA board member also stressed that Cuper will keep his post as Egypt manger until the end of his contract despite the results as they are fully confident in his ability to lead the team, confirming that the board never discussed the name of Hassan Shehaa as a potential successor of the former Inter Milan coach.
