OFFICIAL: Zamalek sign Mohamed Ashraf from Tala’a El-Gaish
Zamalek have completed the signing of Tala’a El-Gaish midfielder Mohamed Ashraf on a five-year deal, the White Castle announced.
Meanwhile, Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour revealed that Zamalek players Ahmed Samir and Mohamed Nassef will join El-Gaish.
Ashraf, 24, is the 16th player to join the White Castle during the current transfer window transfer window after they signed a number of players including Kasongo, Daouda, Salah Ashour, Acheampong, Ahmed Magdi, Mahmoud Alaa, and Syrian players Alaa Al Shbli, Khaled Al Mobayed and Moayad Ajan.
The White Knights are looking to bolster their squad after they ended the 2016/17 season empty-handed as they were eliminated from the group stage of the CAF Champions League and the Arab Club Championship.
In addition, they finished third in the Egyptian Premier League standings and were knocked out of the Egypt Cup semi-final.
The club have also announced a list of players who will be leaving the White Castle ahead of the start of the new season. The departure list included Salah Rico, Eslam Gamal, Shawky El-Said, Ibrahim Salah, Ali Fathy, Mohamed Nassef, Osama Ibrahim and Mohamed Mosaad.
