Moroccan international Nordin Amrabat joins CD Leganes
Watford and Moroccan national team winger Nordin Amrabat has officially joined La Liga side CD Leganes on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old returns to La Liga after a previous spell with FC Malaga for two seasons and a successful year with Premier League side Watford.
Amrabat started his professional career in the Netherlands with Almere City FC, before joining Eredivise side VVV-Venlo, where he managed to score 10 goals in the first season.
The Moroccan international’s performance grasped the attention of PSV Eindohoven who acquired the player’s services for the 2008-2009 season, playing 62 games and scored 12 goals.
Amrabat then moved to Turkish giants Galatasaray after for €8.6 million on a five-year contract, where he played 55 games and scored only three goals.
The Netherland-born player decided to play for Morocco, where he featured in 42 official games and was included in the national team’s squad that participated in the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
