FIFA set date for Egypt's clash with Congo in World Cup qualifiers

FIFA have announced the date for ’s clash with in the fifth round of the .

The Pharaohs will host Congo at Borg El-Arab in the fifth round, while will travel to , with the four nations seeking World Cup qualification.

Egypt will face Congo on Sunday, October 8 at Borg El-Arab stadium, Alexandria at 19:00 CLT, while Ghana’s clash with Uganda will be on Saturday, October 7 at Mandela National Stadium, Kampala at 15:00 CLT.

However, Héctor Cúper’s men will have to face Uganda first on Tuesday, September 5 at Borg El-Arab stadium in the fourth round.

It’s worth mentioning that Egypt beat Congo 2-1 in the first round of the qualifiers in Brazzaville thanks to a double from Mohamed Salah and Abdallah El-Said.

Uganda currently top the group with seven points, one point above second-placed Egypt, while Ghana sit third with two points and Congo languish at the bottom of the group with only one point.
