Luis Garcia happy Salah joined Liverpool
Salah has impressed since joining the Reds in the 2017 summer transfer window, scoring two goals and providing one assist from two starts in the Premier League. He scored in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford in the league opener before adding another goal in their 4-0 victory over Arsenal. The former Chelsea and AS Roma winger was also named Man of the Match against Watford.
“The addition of Salah was important,” said the Spaniard. “I think we’ve seen he has fit very well into the team and scored a few goals and he is showing he is fantastic with the other players.”
The 25-year-old winger has been repeatedly hailed by a number of current and former Liverpool players since completing his move to the Anfield side in July.
Garcia also expressed his happiness that Philip Coutinho will be staying with the team as negotiations with Barcelona failed. “Of course everybody would like to have Coutinho in their team because for the last two or three years he has been showing how important he is for Liverpool,” he added.
