Ahmed Yasser joins Iraqi side Al Mina’a on loan for second time
Al Masry forward Ahmed Yasser has joined Iraqi side Al Mina’a on loan for a second time, the Iraqi club have announced.
The 25-year-old initially joined the Iraqi side on loan last January and he impressed during his short stay in Iraq, which made the club’s officials extend his loan spell for another season.
He helped Al Mina’a finish 6th in the league table, just two points behind fifth-placed Al Wasat and four behind Al Zawraa, who finished the league campaign in fourth place.
Yasser has signed a one-year contract extension with Al Masry before travelling to Iraq, which will keep him at the Port Said-based club until 2020.
Ahmed Yasser has previously played for Wadi Degla, Belguim’s KFC Turnhout and Lierse SK before joining Al Masry in July 2014.
He made 45 appearances for Al Masry since his arrival, scoring four goals and providing six assists for them across all competitions.
