Abraw terminates El-Gaish contract a week after joining the club
Togolese striker Camaldine Abraw has ended his two-year contract with Egyptian club Tala’a El-Gaish just a week after joining them.
The 27-year-old forward moved to Tala’a El-Gaish after his move to Bidvest Wits fell through, as the South African side opted to sign Al Ahly’s Amr Gamal instead of him.
Abraw has announced through his Instagram account that he has decided to leave the club: “End of my journey with Egyptian Gaish team. I decided to part ways with the team. Good luck to them.”
The Togolese has left El-Geish two days ahead of their opening game of the season against Al Ahly and his reasons to leave the military club remain to be unknown.
The Togolese international had a number of stints in France with LB Châteauroux, Les Herbiers VF and AS Cherbourg and in Morroco with Hassania d’Agadir, before joining South Africa giants Kaizer Chiefs in 2015.
