Smouha release new signing Nikola Komazec

Smouha chairman Farag Amer assured that the club was forced to release newly signed Serbian forward  after defender Mahmoud Ezzat torn his ACL for the second time in less than a year.

The Alexandrian-side successfully signed Komazec from Hong Kong’s South China on a free transfer in order to strengthen their strike-force after a dismal season.

However, Ezzat’s recent ACL injury, which was a huge blow to the Blues, forced the club to release the Serbian striker and not register him for the new season to make way for registering Burkinabe defender Patrick Malou since the team is in desperate need to support their defensive line.

Smouha’s history with ACL injuries is not very pleasant. Ezzat wasn’t the only Smouha player to tear his ACL last season, as he was joined by Yasser IbrahimEl-Mahdy SolimanAhmed TemsahMahmoud Sayed, Omar Saad and Mansou Kouakou.
