Squash: Nour El Tayeb wins the Hong Kong Open
Nour El Tayeb, World no. 14 and no.2 seed in the tournament, won the Hong Kong International Squash Open which took place in Hong Kong Football Club last week.
Nour defeated Joshna Chinappa of India in 3 straight games in 26 minutes (11/4, 11/4, 11/4)
“I knew that Joshna had a hard match yesterday,” said Tayeb, “so I tried to make it fast from the start and it seemed to work. Joshna’s a fighter, she came back a little but I managed to close out each game”
Nour defeated [Q] Carmen Lee (Hkg) 11/3, 11/4, 11/7 (15m) in 1st round, Ho Tze-Lok 11/4, 11/5, 11/6 (22m) in quarterfinal, and  Tesni Evans of Wales 11/7, 7/11, 11/6, 11/2 (46m).
After the win, she had the following to say, “I’m delighted to win the title on my first visit here, I really enjoy being in Hong Kong and I haven’t won four matches in a row for a long time!”
Hong Kong is the 2nd tournament of the 2017/2018 squash season.
