Trezeguet scores, assists in 3-2 victory over Yeni Malatyaspor
Egypt international Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet scored and assisted in Kasimpasa’s 3-2 win over Yeni Malatyaspor in gameweek 4 of the Turkish Super Lig.
The hosts grabbed an early lead as Venezuelan forward Jhon Murillo opened the scoring in the second minute. The 22-year-old Egypt international delivered a cross for Murillo who headed the ball past Yeni Malatyaspor keeper Ertaç Özbir.
The guests needed only eight minutes to level the score as Eren Tozlu made it 1-1 on the 10-minute mark.
Five minutes after the break, the hosts were already 2-1 up as Trezeguet regained the lead for his side with a shot from inside the box.
Malatyaspor levelled again through Aytac Kara in the 72nd minute but Markus Neumayr scored the third for Kasimpasa in the dying minutes of the game to earn his side a 3-2 victory.
This marked Trezeguet’s third goal in the Turkish top-flight since joining Kasimpasa from Belgian giants Anderlecht on a one-year loan with an option to buy.
Kasimpasa currently sit fourth in the league table on seven points, three behind leaders Galatasaray, after winning two games, drawing one and losing another.
