Arsenal legend Thierry Henry sends message to Al Ahly’s Phakamani
The South African attacker has recently joined Cairo giants Al Ahly from Bidvest Wits on a four-year deal.
The French legend sent Mahlambi a personal video message, in which he asked him to keep working hard and wished him good luck.
“Hello Phakamani, all the very best. Keep your head up and keep on working hard,” Henry said in his motivational video, which was posted by the new Al Ahly signing on his Twitter account.
Mahlambi, who turns 20 on Tuesday, is considered one of the brightest young talents in South Africa. He helped Bidvest win their first ever Premier Soccer League last season, scoring six goals and assisting further seven in 16 appearances.
He has been involved in 20 goals last term with Bidvest, scoring 10 goals and assisting 10 times in 32 appearances across all competitions.
He made his international debut against Angola in a friendly in March 2017 but has failed to represent his country since then.
