Egypt’s Sam Morsy scores as Wigan defeat Charlton Athletic

Egypt’s midfielder scored as Wigan defeated Charlton Athletic 3-0 in the sixth fixture of the English League One.

Wigan tried to maintain position and create plenty of attacks in order to take the lead. And just one minute before the half-time whistle, Wigan’s Gavin Massey managed to score the opening goal for the away side.

Six minutes into the second half, the Egypt international was shown a yellow card.

Massey then managed to complete his brace, doubling his side’s tally in the 70th minute.

Morsy also managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the dying minutes of the game, as he slotted the ball in the back of the net, to secure a 3-0 victory for the away side.

Following the win, Wigan currently occupy the sixth league spot with 13 points, and are set to face Bristol Rovers on September 16.

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
