Sayed Moawad: We don’t blame Ekramy for Esperance draw

Sayed Moawad said, on radio 909.0 FM, that the technical bench does not hold Sherif Ekramy accountable for the result. “It is totally normal for a player to have a bad day, this will not cause any problem to Ekramy as we still have complete confidence in him,”

“At Al Ahly, we are all one family, the staff and the players, we don’t address individual mistakes nor do we hold a player accountable for our performance. We assess the team’s performance as a whole,”

“We have to get over this and face the reality that is our next match against Esperance in the away leg,”

When asked if Ekramy will start in the away leg, Moawad said,”It is up to the manager and the staff, we have three keepers all fit and ready to play, so we will see.”

Esperance de Tunis are set to host Al Ahly for the away leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final on the 23rd of September Stade Olympique de Rades in Tunis, Tunisia.
