Cuper calls up 14 Pharaohs Abroad for Congo encounter
Egypt coach Hector Cuper has called up 14-foreign based players for the Pharaohs’ next match against Congo in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The national team will host Congo on Sunday, October 8 at Borg El-Arab stadium, Alexandria at 19:00 CLT, while Uganda will be up against Ghana on Saturday, October 7 at Mandela National Stadium, Kampala.
Egypt managed to go top of group E and bolster their chances of qualifying to the World Cup next summer after beating Uganda earlier in September 1-0. With two points ahead of second-placed Uganda, Cuper’s men are eager to beat Congo to get closer to booking a ticket to the World Cup in Russia.
