Egyptians in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team: Pharaohs Abroad XI

Mohamed Salah FIFA 18

As the FUT Web App for FIFA 18 has been released, KingFut reporter Malek Shafei brings you a complete team of Egyptians on the virtual football game.

For the first time in Ultimate Team history, it is possible to have a full XI of Egyptians in FIFA 18. What better way for us to celebrate than construct a squad on  FUT with a bunch of Pharaohs?

KingFut’s Malek Shafei assembles a squad of Egyptians abroad, and highlights some of the major changes to their stats.

Goalkeeper: Essam El Hadary (70)

El-Hadary is the first Egyptian goalkeeper to feature on Ultimate Team. At 44 years old, the legendary goalie is in the latter stages of his career, it would have been interesting to see how highly he would have been rated at the peak of his career.

Left-Back: Mohamed Abdul-Shafy (71)

The Al-Ahli defender has a rather well rounded card with 75 pace, 62 passing, 69 dribbling and defending, and 71 physicality. Last year in FIFA 17 he was rated a 72.

Centre-Back: Ahmed Hegazi (68)

Ahmed Hegazi rose onto the scene of the footballing world as he showed his skill with many great performances for West Brom after signing for them this summer. The card undervalues many of Hegazi’s attributes as he has shown in the Premier League so far that he can keep up with some of the world’s best strikers and that he warrants more than 44 pace, 69 defending, and 70 physicality. It is likely that we will see him get an upgrade to his card as a Winter Upgrade later on in the year.

Centre-Back: Adam El-Abd (65)

Adam El-Abd moved to the Wycombe Wanderers this past summer from Shrewsbury. Once again, El-Abd is a 65 rating.

Right-Back: Ahmed Elmohamady (72)

Another new signing, Elmohamady is now a right-back at Aston Villa after being a right midfielder at Hull City last year. Elmo faces a downgrade, as he went from a 75 to a 72 rating.

Centre Midfielder: Aly Ghazal (73)

Aly Ghazal moved to the MLS from the Chinese League and was downgraded from a 77 to a 73.

Centre Midfielder: Mohamed Elneny (77)

The Arsenal centre midfielder maintains his 77 rating. Most of his in game stats have gone down however such as pace, passing, and shooting.

Centre Midfielder: Sam Morsy (68)

Despite being named Wigan Athletic captain, Morsy recieved a downgrade from a 69 to a 68.

Left Winger: Mahmoud Kahraba (75)

To begin the offense we have Mahmoud Kahraba. Following a great season in which he earned an 89 Team of the Season card, his loan with Ittihad was extended for another season. This year, his card was upgraded to a 75 gold card.

Striker: Ahmed Hassan (75)

Another year of a gold card for the SC Braga striker. A convincing season could potentially earn him an inform card or a Team of the Season card.

Right Winger: Mohamed Salah (83)

Last but definitely not least we have Mohamed Salah. After a great season with Roma and a transfer to Liverpool, Salah is the highest rated Egyptian in FIFA 18. With 93 pace, Salah is also one of the fastest players in the game.

It is worth noting Al-Raed’s Shikabala is the only Egyptian in the game with five-star skills, while Kasimpasa’s Mahmoud Trezeguet has a five-star weak foot.
