Al Ahly to stay in Tunisia until Champions League semi-finals
The Red Devils qualified for the semi-finals after beating Espérance Sportive de Tunis 4-3 on aggregate and will face the winner of Al Ahli Tripoli and Tunisia’s Étoile du Sahel.
In case the Tunisian side qualified for the semi-finals, they will face the Red Devils at Stade Olympique de Sousse, but if the Al Ahli qualified, they will choose a stadium in Tunisia to play the semi-finals at, as Libyan sides are not allowed to host their home matches in their country due to security concerns.
It’s worth mentioning that the first-leg was played in Egypt and ended in a 0-0 draw, and the return-leg will be played in Sousse on Saturday, September 24 at 19:30 CLT.
The first-leg of the semi-finals will take place in Tunisia between September 29 and October 1, while the second-leg will be hosted in at Borg El-Arab, Alexandria between October 20 and October 22.
