manager  has named his squad for Burkina’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa which will take place on October 7.

The squad witnessed the inclusion of Al Masry’s  of Smouha and former Dakhleya forward Cyrille Bayala.

On the other hand, Duarte has slammed Smouha’s defender  and left him out of the squad, saying the player is unprofessional, makes too many mistakes and doesn’t follow his instructions.

He also revealed that Malo had to rush to the dressing room to look for his match shirt when asked to replace injured Issouf Paro during the Senegal game, which made Paro stay on the pitch for five more minutes before he was eventually replaced by the Smouha man.

“Everyone makes mistakes‚ but Malo is making too many‚” Burkina Faso manager Paulo Duarte said.

“There’s one thing I will not tolerate and that is being unprofessional with a country’s dream to go to the World Cup.

“Malo is the player with whom I have most individual meetings in my squad. I communicate with him‚ one hour‚ two hours before the game.

“I emphasised to him: ‘no risk‚ no clumsy tackles‚ no dangerous pass in defence.’ But every time these words don’t get through,” he added.

Burkina Faso currently lead group D with six points, ahead of Cape Verde on goal difference, while Senegal sit third with five points and South Africa languish at the bottom of the group with only one point.

It’s worth mentioning that both South Africa and Senegal have a game in hand after CAF decided that their qualifier will be replayed next November.
