Egypt international Amr Warda participated in Atromitos’ 1-0 win over Olympiacos Piraeus in gameweek 6 of the Greek Super League on Sunday.

The Egyptian left winger played the whole 90 minutes and assisted his side’s winning goal as Atromitos beat giants Olympiacos 1-0 away from home at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

The only goal of the game came through Kyriakos Kivrakidis in the 60th minute after he managed to convert Amr Warda’s cross with a brilliant diving header.

Warda had scored in his side’s victory over Lamia last week as well as scoring a last-gasp winner against AOK Kerkyra in the Greek Cup and today he has registered his first assist of the season.

This win sees Atromitos jump to fourth place with 10 points from six matches, one place above Olympiacos who lie at fifth with eight points.

Warda’s side will face 14th-placed team Asteras Tripolis, who are yet to win a league game this season, on Saturday, October 14 at home ground, the Peristeri Stadium.
