Kwesi Appiah: We will give it our all against Uganda
The Black Stars’ crucial World Cup qualifier against Uganda is set to take place in Kampala on Saturday and a win for Appiah’s men might revive their hopes of reaching to the World Cup next summer.
Ghana are third in Group E with five points while Uganda sit second with seven points, two behind Egypt, who are set to host bottom-placed Congo on Sunday at Borg El-Arab.
“The squad is in high spirits especially after huge win in Congo. We are hoping to extend that form in Kampala,” Appiah said.
“We are not under pressure but a win will be very positive for us. We will give it our all,” he added.
A win for Ghana on Saturday and a potential win for Congo against group leaders Egypt on Sunday could mean it will all come down to the final group game when Ghana host the Pharaohs in Kumasi on November 6.
