CAF announce date for Al Ahly return-leg clash with Étoile du Sahel
CAF have revealed the date of Al Ahly’s return-leg clash with Tunisia’s Étoile Sportive du Sahel in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The Red Devils are set to host Étoile du Sahel at Borg El-Arab stadium in the return-leg of the semi-finals after losing the first-leg 2-1 in Sousse.
Alaya Brigui opened the scoring for the Tunisian side in the 15th minute, before Saleh Gomaa equalised in the 66th minute, however it was a short-lived joy for the Egyptians as Etoile regained the lead in the 75th minute through Ben Amor.
CAF have announced that the second-leg of the semi-finals will take place at Borg El-Arab, Alexandria on Sunday, October 22 at 19:00 CLT, with Al Ahly needing to win at least 1-0 in Alexandria to advance to the final.
Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca will host USM Alger at Prince Moulay Abdellah on Saturday, October 21 in the other semi-final, after the first-leg finished with a dull 0-0 draw in Rabat.
