Additional assistant referees feature in Egypt for first time
The Egyptian Premier League will feature the additional assistant referees for the first time in history after Egypt World Cup qualification.
The additional assistant referee (AAR) is an official that assists the referee behind the goal line, informing him of incidents of any kind that he may otherwise have missed near the penalty area, but the final decision will always be taken by the referee.

Three Premier League games will be played on Wednesday as El-Dakhelya will face bottom-placed Al-Ragaa, Smouha will host Petrojet and Wadi Degla will be up against Al Nasr.
