Egypt’s and played the full 90 minutes as defeated 2-1 in the sixth fixture of the Saudi Pro League.

Meanwhile, Egypt international missed the game as he was excluded from Al-Taawoun’s squad through injury.

Al-Nassr applied pressure early in the first half in an attempt to take an early lead. Leonardo Pereira came close to opening the scoring for the home side in the 20th minute, however, his shot was saved by Egypt’s veteran keeper El-Hadary.

In the 38th minute, Pereira scored Al-Nassr’s first goal of the night, as he went past El-Hadary and accurately slotted the ball into the back of the Egyptian’s net.

Just five minutes later, Al-Hadji Kamara scored the equalising goal for Al-Taawoun from a close range, following an accurate ground cross by Jehad Al Hussain, making it 1-1 in the dying moments of the first half.

Seven minutes after the break, Pereira managed to double his tally as he unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box and El-Hadary couldn’t stop him from scoring.

Following the match, Al-Nassr currently occupy the fifth league spot with 12 points, while Al-Taawoun sit tenth with five points only.

It is worth noting that Al-Nassr will face Ohod on October 19, while, Al-Taawoun will face Al-Faisaly on the 20th of the same month.
