OFFICIAL: Tarek El-Ashry resigns as ENPPI manager
The club’s football manager Abdel-Nasser Mohamed said that El-Ashry has left ENPPI after their 1-1 draw with Tala’a El-Gaish. The petroleum side currently sit 16th on the league table with three points after five games.
El-Ashry joined ENPPI last year right after he won the Libyan Premier League with Al-Ahli Tripoli to start his third stint with the petroleum club.
The club had a rough start in the league with the 46-year-old coach as the team failed to win any of the five matches they played under his leadership, which is the worst start ENPPI ever had since their promotion to the top-tier.
The board is currently looking for a replacement for El-Ashry to lead the team, with the team’s next game set to be against Misr El-Maqassa on Thursday.
