VIDEO: Kahraba features, Abdel-Shafy misses as Al-Ahli thrashes Al Ittihad

Egypt’s featured, while was excluded from squad as Al-Ahli defeated 3-0 in the seventh fixture of the Saudi Pro League.

Mahmoud ‘Kahraba’ started the game in his traditional left wing position, while Mohamed Abdel-Shafy missed the Jeddah Derby.

Just 10 minutes into the game Al-Ahli nearly opened the scoreline from a corner kick, however, the header was brilliantly saved by Al Ittihad’s goalkeeper.

23 minutes into the game, Kahraba executed a smart move to Soufiany, who sent the ball back to the Egyptian, but it was too long to catch.

In the 34th minute, Villanueva’s powerful shot from the edge of the box hit the post, following a perfect pass by Al Ittihad’s Soufiany.

Both teams failed to score until the referee blew the halftime whistle.

Five minutes after the restart, Omar Al Somah gave his side the lead, as he smashed a volleyed ball into the top of the net.

Just five minutes later, Leonardo doubled the ’s lead as he placed the ball into the top left corner.

In the dying moments of the game, Omar Al Somah doubled his tally as he accurately slotted the ball past Al Ittihad’s goalkeeper, making it 3-0 for Al-Ahli.

Following the win, Al-Ahli tops the league table with 16 points, while, Al Ittihad sits seventh with eight points.

It is worth mentioning that, Al-Ahli is set to face Al-Faisaly on the 26th of October, while, Al Ittihad will face Ohod on the 25th of the same month.
