Wydad Casablanca defeat USM Alger to qualify to the CAFCL Final

Wydad Casablanca succeeded in qualifying for the 3rd time in their history to the Final after defeating in the 2nd leg of their semifinal clash in Morocco.

With the first leg ending 0-0 in Algeria, the hosts succeeded in scoring the 1st goal after 26 minutes of play to end the first half 1-0. The Moroccan side was able to dominate the play in the first 45 minutes.

The second half witnessed a lot of action, starting in the 55th minute when the Moroccan team scored their second goal of the match. Two minutes later Amin Atoushy received his second yellow card and was sent off, leaving the hosting team to play with 10 players for the rest of the match.

In 10 minutes, USM Alger scored their first goal to try and make a comeback that can take them to the final, and although they had many chances to do so, they were unable to convert.

Just one minute before the end of the match, WAC scored their 3rd goal to end the match 3-1 for the host team and qualify for the final.

The Moroccan team awaits either Al Ahly or Etoil de Sahel, who will play tomorrow in Borg Al Arab 7 pm CLT.
