Cuper calls 16 foreign-based players for Ghana encounter
manager Hector Cuper has called up 16 foreign-based players for the Pharaohs’ upcoming clash with in the .

Egypt will travel to face the Black Stars on November 12 at Cape Coast in the final round of the qualifiers. They’ll also face the UAE in a friendly three days ahead of the Ghana clash.

The Pharaohs were confirmed as Group E winner after their 2-1 victory over Congo earlier this month, which sealed their qualification for the World Cup for the first time since 1990.

Ahead of the final round, the Pharaohs sit top of the group on 12 points, followed by Uganda with eight points. The Black Stars are third on six points, while Congo remain at the bottom of group after collecting one point only.

The list witnessed the exclusion of Al Taawoun’s Mostafa Fathi through injury, while Amr Warda, who plays for Greek side Atromitos, returned to the squad after missing the Uganda clash. Etoile du Sahel forward Amr Marei was included in the 16-man list.

    Second class players like Morsy and Hafez called up. But Ghazal excluded again. Ridiculous.
