EXCLUSIVE | Contractors’ Amr Nasser undergoing trial at Red Star Belgrade
Omar Sameh, agent of 17-year-old Nasser, expressed his optimism regarding the trial spell, which started on October 19 and is set to end on November 4.
“[The] atmosphere is great and it’s inevitable for young talented veterans like Amr to have the challenge to move to Europe early for huge development,” Sameh said.
“We are expecting a loan offer next January, with loan duration being 1.5 years that’s after negotiations with Arab Contractors management led by academy director Alaa Nabil and sporting director Mohamed Adel, and that’s the best case scenario if everything goes well.”
The Serbian giants are in Group H of the UEFA Europa League alongside Arsenal, BATE Borisov and FC Köln. They sit third after drawing with BATE Borisov, beating FC Köln and losing to the Premier League side. They’ll next travel to face the Gunners on November 2.
They, however, are producing better results in the league, as they currently top the table with 34 points after 13 games, having lost one game only.
Nasser will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny, who both started their European adventure after joining Swiss side FC Basel from Contractors.
