RELIVE: Al Ahly vs Wydad Casablanca – CAF Champions League final

KingFut covers the live action as Egypt’s host Morocco’s in the first leg of the 2017 CAF Champions League final.

The Red Castle host the Moroccan side in the first leg on Saturday night at Borg El-Arab Stadium before travelling to Morocco a week later for the decisive second leg.

This marks the third clash between Al Ahly and Wydad this campaign as they were drawn together in the group phase, which saw each side win their home fixture by a 2-0 scoreline.

The Red Devils had qualified to the final game after defeating Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel 6-2 in the second leg of the semi-final to qualify with a 7-4 aggregate score, while Wyadad Casablanca overcame USM Alger 3-1.

2′: An UNBELIEVABLE left-footed volley from outside the box for Mo’men Zakaria gives Al Ahly the lead early on.

6′: Golden change for Azarou but pressure from Laaroubi sees him miss!

14′: Abdallah El-Said scuffs his shot in the box, and the follow up from Junior Ajayi is wide as well.

17′: The equalizing goal for Wydad! Ben Charqy’s glancing header off of a Ounajem cross sees the match level at 1-1.

26′: Chance for Ahly as Azarou brings down a chipped ball in the box, but his back heel is cut out.

27′: Early sub for Wydad as Khadrouf replaces Ounajem.

42′: Hectic pace as both teams search for the leading goal in the match.

44′: Chance down the right hand side is crossed in to Ajayi’s head, but his header is well over.

45′: 3 minutes added on to end the first half.

45′: The first half ends 1-1, with both sides seeing plenty of chances in an eventful match.

46′: The second half is underway.

54′: Great chance in the box for Ahly and Zakaria but it’s blocked. Ahly have controlled possession to start the match.

58′: Penalty shout for Ahly as Azarou is brought down in the box, but the referee rules no foul. Still 1-1.

63′: Junior Ajayi off for Walid Soliman.

63′: Salahdine Saidi receives a yellow card.

69′: Foul on Walid Soliman as Ahly line up for the set piece. The Egyptian side has really started to put the pressure on Wydad in the last 10 minutes.

78′: Ahmed Hamoudi on for Rami Rabia as Ahly look for the winner.

86′: Walid Soliman off for Emad Meteb.

90′: 4 minutes of stoppage time to be played.

90′: Emad Meteb’s shot from the edge of the box is just wide of the post!
