Wydad captain Brahim Nakach calls for caution ahead of return match against Ahly

Wydad Casablanca captain, Brahim Nakach has asked teammates and fans “not to rejoice” with the second leg of the 2017 still to come.

The Moroccan side was able to come away with a draw away to Al Ahly in the first leg played this past weekend.  Achraf Bencharki scored the important equalizing goal for Wydad Casablanca.

Speaking on the result, club captain, Brahimi Nakach was less jubilant about the result compared to his coach. Amotta said his team now knows “the flaws in Al Ahly's defense.”

Nakach, on the other hand, said Wydad Casablanca should learn a lesson from Esperance Tunis. The Tunisian side was knocked out by Al Ahly in the quarter-finals despite drawing the first leg in . He did describe the draw as a positive result.

Brahim Nakach also said, “We must not rejoice. We still have 90 minutes to play…at Mohamed V stadium.” The veteran midfielder was speaking to Radio Mars.
