Ismaily’s Mohamed Awad called up for Ghana encounter
Egypt manager Hector Cuper has decided to add Ismaily goalkeeper Mohamed Awad to be the 26th man on the list for the team’s World Cup qualifier that will take place on the 12th of November at Cape Coast.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper was called as well when The Pharaohs beat Uganda 1-0 at Borg Al Arab. The Argentine manager left out Liverpool winger and Egypt’s top goal scorer in the qualifiers, Mohamed Salah, after securing qualification to the World Cup for the first time in 28 years.
As things stands, the Pharaohs are on top of Group E with twelve points, followed by Uganda with eight points. Ghana is in third place with 6 points and Congo comes last with one point.
