Zamalek surge past Petrojet with a 3-0 victory
Zamalek have effortlessly downed Petrojet 3-0 in the eighth week of the Egyptian Premier League to go second in the standings.
Ahmed El-Shennawy was absent while Gabr returned to the starting line up for the White Knights.

In the 13th minute, Ahmed Madbouly crossed a perfect ball to Abdallah Gomaa, but his resulting header was saved by Amr Hossam. A few minutes later, Ahmed Dawouda had s hot on goal, but once again the Petrojet keeper parried.
In the 28th minute, Zamalek were awarded a penalty. Zamalek’s top scorer this season Mohamed Ashram missed it but defender Mahmoud Alaa put away the rebound.
Madbouly added Zamalek’s second goal with a great curling effort in the 39th minute.
Petrojet’s first chance came in the 48th minute through Karim Tarek, but Gennish sent it out for a corner.
Madbouli added to his man of the match performance with Zamalek’s third goal in the 66th minute after dribbling past the Petrojet defense.
The result puts Zamalek in second place with 15 points from 8 games while Petrojet sits at 8th with 10 points from 8 games. The White Knights will play against Al Nasr after the international break on November 17.
