Egypt draw Morocco, Angola in Handball AFCON

The Egyptian national team have drawn Morocco and Angola in the 2018 Africa Cup of Nations.

The draw of the upcoming tournament, set to be held in Gabon in January, saw the Pharaohs drawn in Group B. were in Pot 1, alongside Tunisia.

The draw resulted in Egypt drawing Morocco and Angola who were in pots 2 and 3, respectively, as well as DR Congo and Nigeria.

The full results of the draw:

Group A: Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon

Group B: Egypt, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, Nigeria

The tournament will be held between January 17 and January 28.

Egypt are the title holders, having won the last version as the competition’s hosts, when they defeated Tunisia in the final.

It is also worth mentioning that Tunisia are the record holders for the most AFCON with nine titles. Algeria come in second place with seven wins, while Egypt are in third place with six titles.
