El Shamy included as Al Ahly announce squad to face Beni Suef


Al Ahly assitant coach Ahmed Ayob announced a 21-man squad that is set to face  in the first round of .

The squad included Syrian international Abdallah El Shamy for the first time and Al Ahly’s youth team goalkeeper, Mohamed Tarek instead of Sherif Ekramy, who is on international duty with the Egyptian national team final World Cup qualifiers against Ghana.

On the other hand, Mido Gaber and Karim Nedved were excluded due to injury while Phakamani Mahlambi was summoned to the South African national team.

Al Ahly squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed Adel Abdel-Moneim, Mohamed Tarek, Mohamed El-Shennawy

Defenders: Abdallah El Shamy, Bassem Ali, Sabry Rahil, Hussein El-Sayed, Mohamed Hany, Ayman Ashraf.

Midfielders: Amr El-Sulaya, Walid Soliman, Ahmed Hamdy, Amro Barakat, Eslam Mohareb, Hesham Mohamed, Ahmed Hamoudi, Ahmed El-Sheikh.

Forwards: Walid Azarou, Junior Ajayi, Ahmed Yasser Rayan, Emad Meteab.

The Red Devils will face Telephonat Beni Suef in the Round of 32 of Egypt Cup this Friday at 20:0 CLT at Petrosport stadium in Cairo.
