Rami Rabia reveals extent of groin injury
Egypt national team defender Rami Rabia was injured during the team’s final game in the World Cup qualifiers against Ghana which ended in a 1-1 draw between the two sides.
Rabia, who started the game, was taken off the pitch after suffering an injury in the 30th minute. After the 1-1 tie with the Black Stars, Al Ahly defender was interviewed by ON Sport TV channel to discuss the extent of his injury.
“I suffered a groin injury, I will know the final diagnosis from the national team’s doctor soon,” he told the TV channel.
The former Sporting Lisbon player has been dogged by injury problems in 2016 as he went through two surgeries after suffering from a knee injury and have missed the 2017 AFCON in Gabon in January 2017 because of a different ankle injury.
