Bidvest Wits manager has refused to comment on his players to the press, including Egypt international .

Wits have had a difficult season, currently lying at the bottom of the table, however they did recently win the League Cup with Gamal providing an assist towards the end of the game to seal the title.

The season has been particularly baffling, as Wits were favourites to win the league going into the season, and as such the manager has come under fire and been questionned about his marquee signings such as Claassen and Pienaar.

“I won’t comment about players in the press‚” said Hunt when asked about his high profile players. “They’re still fitting in.”

Some have questioned whether the issues are down to the tough nature of the South African league, to which Hunt responded “Well‚ I think it’s tough. It’s a hard-running‚ pacey league. It’s different. Anyone who comes from anywhere is always going to struggle here. Even Gamal struggles here.”

Bidvest Wits will be hoping to get their league campaign truly underway this coming weekend as they travel to Polokwane City this Saturday.
