Bogy bags brace as Egypt U20 beat Mauritius in COSAFA Championship

Abdulrahman Amr ‘Bogy’ was the hero for Egypt U20s as the Young Pharaohs beat 2-0 in the 2017 U-20 Cup.

Egypt was invited by COSAFA for the first time to participate in this years edition, and they have been drawn into Group B. They have been drawn against South Africa, Mauritius, and Mozambique.

They started the competition with a 1-0 win against Mozambique and today they have managed to top the group after defeating Mauritius 2-0, thanks to a double from Abdulrahman Amr ‘Bogy’.

Bogy scored Egypt’s two goals in the 27th and 80th minutes and was named man of the match after his impressive performance.

The young Pharaohs are now set to face South Africa on Monday, December 11 in the final round of the group-stages.

The competition will run from the 6th to the 16th of December of the running year. The top team from each group will advance to the semifinals in addition to the best second-place team.
