VIDEO: Egypt’s Veteran Essam El-Hadary scores from the spot in Al Taawoun’s win

scored his team’s fourth goal from the penalty spot, as Al Taawoun defeated Al-Ettifaq 4-0 in the 13th fixture of the Saudi Pro League.

Al Taawoun started the game fiercely with full concentration, in order to snatch the full three points at home.

In the 33rd minute, Al-Hadji Kamara opened the scoreline for the home side, as he finished the second ball into the back of the net following a save from Al-Ettifaq’s goalkeeper.

Just two minutes later, El-Hadary made an unbelievable save to deny Al-Ettifaq the equalizer.

Both team’s failed to score further goals until the referee blew the half-time whistle.

Al-Taawoun tried to extend their lead in the second half, in the 76th minute Naif Hazazi placed a stunning header past Al-Ettifaq’s goalkeeper making it 2-0.

To rub salt into the wound, Ricardo Machado added the third goal for the home side in the 94th minute, following a howler from Al-Ettifaq’s goalkeeper.

In the dying moments of the game, the referee awarded Al Taawoun a penalty kick. Egypt’s legendary goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary accurately sent the ball home from the spot, scoring his second-ever career goal.

Following the win, Al Taawoun currently occupy the seventh league spot with 16 points and are set to face Al-Fateh on the 16th of December.
