Europa League last-32 draw announced
Elneny’s Arsenal qualified to the last-32 after finishing on top of Group H with 13 points from six matches. The Gunners only suffered from one loss and one draw. As for Ahmed Koka’s SC Braga, the Portuguese outfit also managed to qualify after finishing on top of Group C collecting 10 points from three victories, two defeats and one draw.
In the next round, Arsenal will be facing a favorable draw against Swedish outfit Ostersund. Arsene Wenger’s troops head to Sweden on February 15 for the first leg while the return fixture at the Emirates will be on February 22.
Ostersunds are led by the only English manager in the competition, Graham Potter, the former Southampton player who was able to take the team from the fourth-tier for Swedish football to a knock-out tie against Arsenal.
SC Braga will be facing a tough challenge against France’s Olympique de Marseille who qualified after finishing second in Group I. It is worth mentioning that Koka scored his team’s opening goal against Marseille in the 2015/16 season after brilliantly chipping a ball over the goalkeeper’s head. The first leg will be held in Marseille on February 15 and the second leg on February 22.
