Ittihad manager Cavalli relieved of duties
Ittihad had fell short to a 3-1 loss to Al Assiouty, who have reached Egypt Cup quarterfinal for the first time in their history, to get knocked out from the competition.
The Alexandria-based team hold the 11th place with 13 points in the Egyptian Premier League table after 12 rounds, winning only three games, drawing in another four and losing five.
The decision of sacking Cavalli and his assistant’s came after the team’s loss to Al Assiouty in Egypt Cup, according to Ittihad’s official statement.
The club has entrusted Mohamed Ibrahim as the first team’s caretaker until they find a new manager.
Ittihad had hired Cavalli in October to succeed in October as a replacement for former coach Hany Ramzy.
