Alan Pardew, West Bromwich manager, commented on international ’s performance against

Ahmed Hegazi went head-to-head against compatriot Mohamed Salah in Wednesday night’s clash between West Bromwich and Liverpool that ended in a 0-0 draw.

There have also been reports that have linked Hegazi to a move to the Reds, but Sayed Abdelhafiz has since emphasized West Bromwich’s upper hand in signing of the center back.

“There were some great individual displays,” Pardew started.

“I thought Jonny Evans and Ahmed Hegazi and Gibbs kept Salah very quiet tonight,” Pardew emphasized.

The draw against Liverpool took West Bromwich out of the relegation zone on goal difference. The Baggies will next face second placed Manchester United at home on Sunday.

On the other hand, the draw took Liverpool out of the top four into fifth place. The Reds will next face Bournemouth on Sunday.
